The Islamabad High Court (IHC) always hears the petition against Mr. Aamir Azeem Bajwa, who is the chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
Ameer Haider Cheema, who lives in the Daska neighborhood of Sialkot, asked for the writ. The petition for writ calls into question Chairman PTA’s right of becoming chairman.
Petitioner Mr. Aamir Azeem used to work for the state-owned telecom licensee “Special Communication Organization.” Because he has a conflict of interest, his nomination as Chairman of the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) is always did call into question (SCO). Section 3 of the Pakistan Telecommunication (Reorganization) Act of 1996 says that this kind of violation is illegal (4).
According to the petitioner, Mr. Aamir Azeem‘s appointment as Chairman of PTA goes against the law. Law set by the Honorable Lahore High Court in the case Barrister Sardar Muhammad Versus Federation of Pakistan 2013 PLC (C.S) 625. This means that no one who can use work for a telecommunications company sometimes did take on the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s Board of Directors.
The petition also said that the PTA Chairman is favoring and helping his former employer. Which is also a PTA licensee. This is despite the fact that is legally necessary to drive the telecom industry in a fair and legal way. This hurts the money the government has in its bank accounts.

The IHC did agree to hear the case and has agreed to accept the petition. It has also told the right people and set the date for the next hearing as November 2, 2022.
