Heidi Klum was once told that she was “too curvaceous” to be a model. The 48-year-old beauty went on to have a highly successful career, but she said that she was told she would never make it when she initially started in the profession in 1992.
When she first started in 1992, people warned her, ‘Oh no, you’re much too voluptuous,’ she told Australia’s Body+Soul. “I was too skinny for anyone.”
Heidi Klum is overjoyed that things have changed so much in the almost 30 years she has worked as a model.
“There are so many different individuals out there,” she says, “and they all should be able to see themselves in the ads and on the runways.”
