Indian director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is most known for his historical love stories. He will take on a tale that is unlike anything else he has done before. Now a days he is working on new series Heeramandi for Netflix.
In an interview with Netflix India’s Spotlight, Bhansali claimed that the streaming giant has immediately taken with the ‘ambitious’ concept for the series and eager to get started on the difficult project.
It has brought to Bhansali 14 years ago, when the script for Heeramandi had written. The director, on the other hand, waited until the proper moment came along to begin work on the project.
Project series Heeramandi embraced by Netflix, when we offered it to them. They stated, “It really is extremely ambitious, as well as large and expansive. It narrates the history of courtesans for you.”
Heeramandi is a Netflix original series that shines a light on the courtesans of the Indian subcontinent. The plot of the story takes place in Lahore.
