The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has rejected viral notices on social media about online exams.
A fake HEC report went viral on social media, showing that Federal Education Minister Shafkat Mahmoud ordered the vice chancellors of all public and private universities to take online exams.
The notification also instructed variables who had started online checks to cancel on January 28.
HEC took action against the virus document, clarifying that it had not issued any such notification.
A HEC spokesman told the media that the commission had advised universities to “conduct examinations based on their capacity and the need for fair assessment”.
The University Commission has considered the concerns of students from several universities.
Universities were instructed to record their “test readiness”; H. Technology readiness, announced policy and management capacity and selection of the best evaluation method.
