Imran Khan, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, stated on Friday that in Health Card distribution ceremony in Lahore that his government is devoted to transforming the country into a “welfare state.”

He stated that “Rs400 billion will be spent on the provision of health facilities to 30 million families, and that only time would tell where the health card would take the country”. He also stated that the health card would be implemented in phases.
People in Punjab will now be able to receive medical care worth up to Rs1 million at hospitals, according to Prime Minister Imran Khan.

In a statement, Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf administration is granting loans to low-income workers to enable them to construct their own homes for the first time in the country’s history. So far, loans in the amount of Rs34 billion have been given under the low-income housing programme.
The premier went on to say that the growth of the country begins at the grassroots level, and that by March 2022, all of Punjab’s households will be eligible for a health-insurance card.
Earlier in the day, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Lahore for a one-day official visit. Later in the day, the premier is due to meet separately with the governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, and the chief minister of the province, Usman Buzdar.
Minister for Local Bodies Usman Buzdar will brief Prime Minister Khan on the preparations for the Punjab Local Bodies elections on Tuesday, April 16. As part of his briefing, the premier will learn about the state of law and order in the province.
