On Thursday, the Chinese-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Cabinet Committee accepted the proposal to speed up Gwadar’s electricity delivery procedure.
The decision was made on behalf of the CPEC Cabinet Committee chaired by the Federal Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Minister, Asad Umar.
A summary of the ideas was given by the Ministry of Energy (Power Division).
The Committee accepted the summary and authorised Gwadar to replace the executive agency to accelerate work and guarantee the energy supply project was finished until March 2023.
The CPEC Cabinet Committee also issued notice of possibilities for the import of extra power from Iran to the Power Division.
The officials involved have been ordered to guarantee continuous electricity supply in Gwadar Industrial Area by Federal Minister Asad Umar.
