Govt Make medical Team to examine Nawaz Sharif medical reports

The govt of Punjab form a special medical board to review the medical reports of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who traveled to London in 2019 for medical treatment.

A spokesperson for the Punjab government, Hasaan Khawar, shared the following statement on Twitter: “The Punjab government has convened a nine-member special medical board comprised of senior professors to examine the medical reports of Nawaz Sharif and give its opinion on his fitness for return to the country.”

Having received a notification in this regard, he stated that “the board will submit their report within five days.”

Following the former premier’s medical reports being released, the Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) Khalid Javed Khan wrote to the provincial government, requesting that a medical board be established to investigate them.

As a result of “apparent violation of the Undertakings” given before the Lahore High Court (LHC) to allow the PML-N supremo to travel abroad, the federal cabinet instructed the AGP Office in Islamabad to initiate legal proceedings against the AGP Office.

The board’s convener has been appointed as Dr. Muhammad Arif Nadeem, professor of medicine at Services Hospitals in Lahore.
