One of the biggest changes Apple has made to iOS 14 is the ability to finally add widgets to the home screen. This has changed the way people use iOS and has also resulted in the development of many gadget apps that offer iOS users the same level of flexibility and customization that Android users have enjoyed for years.
If you’re a fervent Google Maps user, you will have an interest to grasp that Google has updated their Maps app. Which can currently be on the market with home screen contrivance support. As you can see in the screenshot above, this widget gives the user several options when using the app.
For example, users can quickly search for a location using the widget itself instead of launching the app first. You can also quickly get home or work, or use the device to check information such as nearby restaurants. Additionally, Google gives users another option that the gadget can use to check traffic situations ahead of time or for things like store opening hours.
If you want to use the Google Maps gadget, make sure you have the latest version of the app installed. And of course, your device is running iOS 14 or higher.
