After much waiting, Google finally offers free Career Certificates in Pakistan today. Google’s Grow With Google program, which offered professional certificates, started in 2020. Users in Pakistan can now access the service after a two-year delay.
The Institute of Rural Management (IRM), is the country’s biggest training and capacity-building organization. Ignite, is a state-owned company that runs programs to teach digital skills. It has together to make this project possible.
Participants are spending 10 hours a week studying in order to get one of the following credentials within six months.
- IT Support
- IT Support Project Management
- User Experience Design
- Data Analysis
- IT Automation
- Digital marketing and electronic commerce
These lessons will take place on Coursera, an American website that offers free online courses or is begins in 2012 by Stanford University. After signing up for a free 7-day trial, participants must either pay a monthly fee or apply for financial assistance if they want to finish the course and get a certificate.
Coursera’s certification programs in IT support, user experience design, project management, and also data analytics cost $14 per month. IRM and Ignite will give scholarships to students who can show they need financial help. This will let them get credentials without paying for them.

In Pakistan, more than 57% of the population now has access to the internet, according to an official Google statement. People’s habits are changing, which affects how ready they are for the new digital economy.
The statement went on to say that with the help of Google Profession Certificates, students can get ready for a new career in a high-growth field in less than six months without needing any previous experience.
