On Monday, Afghan National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib was blasted by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who said he was not doing his nation any favours by making anti-Pakistan remarks.
The Foreign Minister spoke at a press conference in Islamabad on a variety of topics, including the Afghan peace process.
FM Qureshi said he was neither a spokesman for the Taliban nor an advocate for the group.
“I am only Pakistan’s foreign minister,” said Finance Minister Qureshi.
Speaking to TRT World last week during a visit to Antalya, Turkey, the foreign minister said the man “cannot send money to Pakistan” to ensure peace and stability in Afghanistan.
The Foreign Minister has stated that Pakistan has been working constructively for peace and stability in Afghanistan and will continue to do so.

“Pakistan is a regional player. There are other global players and other very important interests in the region,” said the Foreign Minister.
F. M. Qureshi throws himself against the Afghan NSA
On June 5, Afghan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi chastised the Afghan National Security Agency for its anti-Pakistan comments, urging it to “reflect and amend” its actions.
In response to media inquiries on June 19, a Foreign Ministry spokesman strongly condemned the Afghanistan NSA’s “baseless allegations” and noted that Pakistan’s role in the Afghan peace process is widely recognized by the international community.
