American actress Scarlett Johansson has been supported from many sectors of the entertainment business as several groups label it a “gendered character attack” by the Walt Disney Company.
“Although we are not in position in the business dispute with The Walt Disney Company between Scarlett Johansson, we strongly disagree with Disney’s recent statement which tries to characterise Johansson as unfriendly and selfish in defence of his contractual business rights,” says the statement from advocacy organisations.
Scarlett Johansson filed an appeal against Marvel Studios’ Walt Company, which stated that disney violated the agreement by showing Black Widow on its Disney Plus streaming channel. The actress tried to harm the enterprise and said she lost substantial prizes from the theatre performances of the movie.
The Co-President of the Agency for Creative Arts Bryan Lourd stated Disney “accused Ms. Johansson of insensibility against the COVID epidemic blatantly and unfairly.”
“Under the business that many of us in the creative community have worked effectively over the decades is the direct attack by Disney on her personality and all that they have indicated.” he said.
