Islamabad’s Deputy Commissioner Muhammed Hamza Shafqaat has verified Wednesday morning that a cloudburst had caused floods in the federal capital.
The deputy commissioner stated in a weather report on his official Twitter profile that ‘Cloudburst in Islamabad has produced floods across several regions. Clearing nullahs/roads is done in teams. We can hopefully clean it all in one hour.”
The DC afterwards stated that traffic was clear on Islamabad roadways.
Floating automobiles amid flowing floods after heavy rain fell in the federal capital and Rawalpindi for hours, videos from the E11 and D-12 segment of Islamabad.
During the current monsoon season, the two towns had the greatest rainfall.
Meteorological department of Pakistan reports that up to 330 mm of rain had been fed in certain sections of Islamabad in the previous several hours.
