Five Pakistani films to be screened in Beijing tomorrow

Five Pakistani films will be screened from August 4 during the first Pakistan Film Week in China. It is a part of the celebration of 70 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

The Pakistani Embassy in Beijing and the Chinese Film Administration jointly organized a four-day film week. It is to further strengthen cultural exchanges and personal contacts between the two countries.

It should also pave the way for joint ventures and co-production of Pakistani films between Pakistan and China.

The premiere of the film “Motorcycle Girl” will take place at 6:30 pm at China Film Archive, Haidian District, Beijing. The film will screen with Chinese and English subtitles. Five Pakistani films that will screen include Motorcycle Girl, Punjab Nahi Jaungi, Bin Roye, Ho Maan Jahan, and Blind Love.

Two films will screen on the last day of film week.

Last November, Parwaaz Hai Junoon became the first Pakistani film to hit the big screen in China. It received a standing ovation from about 400 people, including Chinese government officials, institutions, companies, think tanks, and the media.
