Fawad Chaudhry says the PTI welcomes dissident legislators

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said the PTI’s doors are always open to dissident National Assembly members (NA).

Members who mislead Prime Minister Imran Khan will be rejected by the people, he told the media in Islamabad today.

The Minister for Information stated dissidents who want to vote against Imran Khan should first resign, then run again as PTI candidates. So let’s put aside our differences and safeguard the constitution.

PTI, on the other hand, has summoned 14 rebel legislators. The politicians have been given 7 days to submit an unconditional apology and rejoin the party, or face legal action.

The opposition has rallied thousands of people to accuse Khan of mismanaging the economy, governance, and foreign policy. No Pakistani prime minister has ever served a full term.

The unified opposition includes significant parties including the PML-N and the PPP, led by former PMs Nawaz Sharif and Benazir Bhutto, and has about 163 seats in the lower house.
