Facebook Integrates New Chat Themes, Payments Features in Messenger App

According to the Report, Facebook integrates new Chat Themes, Custom QR Codes for Payments and new quick bar reply in Messenger App. Whether you’ve discovered a new personal style during your lockdown or are just bored with boring backgrounds. Facebook now offers a variety of chat topics on Messenger and Instagram.

Facebook added new chat topics and a new quick reply bar to its Messenger app. This includes along with the ability to send and receive money from anyone. Even if you’re not a Facebook friend (for US users).

New Chat Themes and Quick Bar Reply

Facebook Messenger gets three new functions in an update to its mobile app. New features include three new chat topics, a quick reply bar, as well as QR code scanning and payment links. An update will release for its Android and iOS apps. Facebook mentioned that currently US users can use the option of a QR Code and a Payment link.

The new theme will be available on Messenger as well as on Instagram.

“Turn your chat background into a fun and fun way to communicate with friends,” says Sateshi Kumar Srinivasan, Director of Messaging Products, Messenger.

The new Media Messenger Review Quick Response Bar makes it easy to start a conversation with a great photo or video without having to return to your main chat thread.

Just tap on the photo or video and send a reply using the quick reply bar at the bottom of the screen. Swipe up to exit the full-screen media view and return to the main chat thread.

Facebook has also introduced the ability for US Messenger users to use QR codes and payment links when sending or requesting money with Facebook Pay, even when they are not connected to Facebook.

US Messenger users can now send or receive money via Facebook Pay with new functionality. Don’t worry about downloading separate apps or adding new contacts on the go.

You don’t even need to connect with other people on Facebook. Just visit Messenger Settings > Facebook Pay and share the payment link. Or let your friends scan your unique QR code to send or request money.

The social network did not provide further details, only advising users to “be careful with new updates soon”.
