Facebook is launching MarketPlace in Pakistan

Prime Minister’s adviser for Trade and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood, said social media giant Facebook had launched a “marketplace” for Pakistani businessmen.

“I’m happy to see that, after Amazon, Facebook also launched the marketplace for Pakistan,” he tweeted. He said this would encourage small entrepreneurs to sell online.

“These opportunities during COVID-19 can be a lifeline for microenterprises,” continued Razak.

“It is also useful for women entrepreneurs who want to get involved in market activities, buying and selling in the community of friends, family, and networks. The first step towards e-commerce. ”

Earlier, on May 21, the premier’s aide announced that Amazon had added Pakistan to its list of sellers. “Today amazon confirmed that Pakistan has been added to their list of sellers,” he tweeted.

He said: “It is a great achievement for our E-Commerce and will open up great opportunities for a new generation of young entrepreneurs. We congratulate everyone involved. ”
