According to the report, Facebook launches BARS application which is likely to the Tiktok app which allows the user to write rhymes and for budding the rappers.
BARS App Features
- A BARS feature like TikTok which allows the user to write rhymes with a previously recorded beat.
- Users also have access to drum beats and cycles for spitting rhymes.
- The app also has an auto-bid feature that allows rappers to find better rhymes.
To enter the TikTok market, Facebook launched an application called BARS. The apps developed by the company’s NPE team work similarly to TikTok. Users can use it to record near studio quality music.
Users also have access to drum beats and cycles for spitting rhymes. When it wasn’t clear, Facebook was targeting a younger demographic who listened to rap music.
Even the term “bar” refers to the lyrical content of a rap song. Last but not least, given the popularity of hip hop in India, we can see how the app works.
The app also has an auto-bid feature that allows rappers to find better rhymes. It’s truly a codification of music, but what can you do about it? It must have happened at some point.
The app will also come with automatic tuning and other post-processing effects to really sell off studio-like sound quality requests. Recently, in June 2020, Facebook released an app called Collab as a beta test for iOS.
With this app, different users can collaborate on their music. It looks like Facebook really got into the music aspect of this app. The time will tell only how it will turn out.
BARS Beta is currently active on the iOS App Store in the US and opens a waiting list. Facebook announced it would open up access to BARS batch invitations, starting with an update in the US. Meanwhile, the news about the invitation will posted on Instagram.
Recent Facebook launches from its experimental department including Collab and collage producer E.gg. Not all applications are maintained. If they don’t get traction, Facebook will stop them – just like last year with the Pinterest-like Hobbies video app.
