PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmoud Qureshi exchanged thorns during a budget meeting on Wednesday.
At the beginning of the trial, the PPP General Chair approached the MPR and government spokesman to “fake” the budget approval process.
After the PPP Chair sharply criticized the hall after his speech and condemned the legislative procedure held on Tuesday, he sharply criticized the 2021-22 budget.
“He talks a lot about [parliamentary] procedures; I also want to talk about procedures,” said Finance Minister Qureshi excitedly after Bilawal and former Prime Minister Shahid Hakan Abasi spoke.
“Where did he go after his speech? I want him back,” he added.
“I want to ask Biwalal Bhutto to return to his place, return to the field and listen to us now,” said the Foreign Minister.
The opposition bench in the National Assembly erupted with applause as the PPP chairman returned to his seat with another member of parliament next to him.
The Foreign Minister spoke briefly, but after much criticism from the opposition asked the speaker to let the JUI-F MNA speak for him and sit down.
A verbal war then erupted between the two leaders as Bhutto dug up the foreign minister.
“I would like to ask the Prime Minister to assign the ISI to record Shah Mahmoud Qureshi’s calls,” sneered Bhutto. “When he became our foreign minister, he campaigned around the world to make him prime minister, not Yusaf Raza Gilani,” he added.
