Due to inclement weather, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s one-day visit to Gilgit-Baltistan has been postponed.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will announce Gilgit-Baltistan‘s historic Integrated Development Plan. The development plan includes programs for clean energy, transportation, communication, health care, infrastructure, clean water supply, sanitation, and tourism in the region.

The aim is also to introduce 3G and 4G internet facilities. The construction of a new grid station, the start of a hydropower program, and health care are among the 275 billion rupees in the region.
Previously, the Prime Minister said the area had great tourism potential and had to be exploited. He said the development of Gilgit Baltistan was one of the government’s top priorities.
Prime Minister Imran has also directed the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister to focus on environmental protection and tourism promotion in the region.
