General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chef of the Army Staff (COAS), stressed the need of dealing with an iron hand in Pakistan in drug treatment.
The Army Head visited the Anti-Drug Force (ANF) headquarters on Tuesday, the media wing of the Pakistan Army stated.
The Inter-services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a statement that he received an in-depth operational briefing on the ANF origin and its contributions in the control of drug trafficking across that nation.
“Drug traders and those involved in their manufacture are a danger to national security and to humanity’s unrelenting adversaries,” General Bajwa told officers and staff.
The head of the army also welcomed the ANF’s efforts to monitor drug trafficking in Pakistan during its visit.
