Based on guidelines from the National Center for Command and Operations (NCOC), the Punjab government has decided to establish a regional task force, led by the deputy commissioner, to effectively implement the strategy of accelerating coronary vaccination across the province.
The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by the Minister of Health of the Province of Dr Yasmin Rashid was met at the civil secretariat on Tuesday. The Secretary General of Punjab, Additional Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Administrative Secretariat of the Ministry of Health, CCPO Lahore, Director General of Public Relations and senior civil and military officials attended the meeting, while all Deputy Commissioners were present. via video link.

Each working group will consist of a District Police Member, the Chief Executive of the District Health Office, and representatives from the NCOC and the Provincial Disaster Management Agency. A similar task force was also formed at the tessil level.
In his remarks before the meeting, Dr. Yasmin said that everything possible would be done to speed up vaccination in the province. He said a mobile vaccination team would also be formed to meet the NCOC’s daily vaccination goals.
