Dr.Yasmin Rashid said Punjab Govt will also Give Health Card to Sharif Family

Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Punjab Health Minister, stated on Sunday that the Punjab government has committed to issuing health card to all citizens, and as a result, Nawaz Sharif and his family will be able to take advantage of this opportunity.

Dr. Rashid told the media in Lahore that the issuing of the Naya Pakistan health card is progressing at a quick speed in the province of Punjab.

According to her, “those with health cards are also seeking treatment at private hospitals.” “The health card will be issued to the family’s head, who will then be responsible for ensuring that their children are also registered with the government.”

Dr. Rashid responded to a query by saying that the province administration will ensure that everyone, regardless of their political party, will be able to benefit from the health card.

It was also stated that “the government has never claimed that the service will only be available to PTI or PPP members; this facility is available to everyone.” “We will also be presenting a health card to Nawaz Sharif and his children,” she added.

Dr. Yasmin Rashid commented on the quick growth in the number of cases of the novel coronavirus variant, Omicron, saying, “Omicron has the potential to impact more people, and so far, 170 cases of the variant have been reported in Punjab.”

Dr. Rashid also provided an update to the media on the coronavirus situation in Lahore, stating that the positive rate in the city remains at 3.8 percent at the time of writing.

It was brought to her attention that residents are not following the government’s prescribed standard operating procedures (SOPs) or taking measures when attending public gatherings, particularly wedding events.

“The only way to defend oneself from Omicron is to wear masks and maintain social distance,” she explained. “Omicron is a parasite that lives in the soil.”

She also pledged to include Pakistan on the list of countries that have been declared polio-free.
