Disney reportedly offered $300 million to Johnny Depp for joining ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 6’

Reportedly, Disney has offered $300 million to Johnny Depp for reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in a sixth Pirates film. They came out to Depp before his defamation trial against Amber Heard and inquired if he will interested in returning for another film.

According to reports, Johnny Depp has not yet agreed to reprise his role as Jack Sparrow in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 6’. The studio also offered Johnny Depp for Disney Plus series detailing the early life of the ‘Captain of the Black Pearl’.

Disney has already drafted a script for a film on Jack Sparrow. They are quite hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his legendary character. The report went on to say that Disney is contemplating making a $300 million offer to Depp.

Under oath during the explosive libel lawsuit trial, Depp has stated that he will not return to the Disney film under any circumstances. Depp further said, “I was the subject of this wife-beater rumor for two years. So, I think Disney severed connections out of an abundance of caution.

He continued, “The #MeToo movement had already gained significant traction by that time. Nobody took my cartoon off the games. They continued to market Captain Jack Sparrow dolls. They kept on selling even though business was slow. Basically, they have worried about discovering anything sneaking up on me from behind.”
