The goddaughter of Amy Winehouse had blocked her memories of the artist for several years.
Dionne Bromfield was only 15 when, at the age of 27 in July 2011, the hitmaker ‘Back to the black’ died of alcohol poisoning, but the singer understood that she wanted to ‘offload’ its sorrow on her 10th anniversary of her tragedy.
When asked about her forthcoming “Amy Winehouse & Me: Dionne’s Story” documentary, she replied, “I haven’t thought about Amy for a long because I didn’t want to think about it.
“But as we came closer to the decade after her passing, I felt I needed to unburden a lot of emotions and sensations that were piled on.
She asked her to leave the impression with the movie, she said: “How careful and affectionate she had been.
“I think people usually think she’s outside and talk to her mind, but she was so kind and so kind, so natural.
