Kuwait authorities banned ‘Death on the Nile’ movie due to Israeli actress

Information Ministry spokesman said that cinemagoers in Kuwait will be unable to see ‘Death on the Nile’ due to Israeli actress Gal Gadot. The decision has made in response to social media calls for the ban of film.

Like its Gulf neighbours, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, Kuwait has opposed to normalising relations with Israel. They are standing with Palestinian cause for a long time.

Gadot’s admiration for the Israeli army and condemnation of Hamas at the time of the 2014 conflict in Gaza have both brought up on social media by fans. During the conflict, 2,251 Palestinians lost their lives. Whereas, the vast majority of whom were civilians and just 74 Israelis.

Wonder Woman, the 2017 Hollywood blockbuster in which Gadot starred has already banned in various Arab nations. She has widely criticised on social media for having served her country’s military.

It will release in the United States later this month and directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh. British novelist Agatha Christie, who has nicknamed the “Queen of Crime,” is best known for this narrative.

Furthermore, Death on the Nile starring Ali Fazal along with actress Gal Gadot.
