Dacia celebrated its production milestone of 10 Million vehicles

This year marks 10 million cars production milestone for Dacia since the brand has founded in 1968. On April 20th, 2022, the Mioveni facility in Romania manufactured its 10 millionth Dacia Duster Extreme SE in Urban Grey colour.

As early as August of 1968, Dacia began producing its first automobile, the Dacia 1100. Next year, the Dacia 1300 model was the inspiration for a large family of variants. These were including as sedans and station waggons as well as sports coupes and LCVs. There were 35 years of manufacturing and it had a lasting impression on the Romanian automobile industry.

As a result of the Renault Group’s 1999 takeover, the firm underwent a significant period of change. The goal was to establish Romania as a regional centre for vehicle development in CEE. Dacia became a global automaker and saw an increase in production milestone with the 2004 debut of Logan.

At the Somaca factory in Casablanca (now Morocco) in 2005, Dacia started a production line outside of Romania. Production capacity has had to increase as a result of the introduction of new models, such as the Sandero and Duster, as well as their quick popularity.
