China promises to help Pakistan in making CPEC successful

China has reaffirmed its willingness to collaborate with the government of Pakistan in order to achieve a common aim of making the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) a great success.

According to a statement issued by the Chinese embassy in Islamabad, China is prepared to collaborate with the Pakistani side in order to create a stable environment for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and bilateral practical cooperation in order to achieve mutual benefit and common development through the CPEC.

The Chinese Ambassador, Nong Rong, met with the Minister of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, Asad Umar, to discuss the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Both officials voiced their optimism and hope for the megaproject’s promising future possibilities.

The meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Xi Jinping’s Special Representative, State Councilor, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday, according to Ambassador Rong, was a resounding success. He made his remarks during a visit to Dushanbe on Friday.

According to the statement, China recognized the high priority that Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Pakistani administration place on practical cooperation between the two countries, as well as their positive efforts in this direction.

Rong stated that with the completion of the early harvest projects, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has entered a new era of enrichment and expansion and that the CPEC would continue to expand in the future.

His remarks were in response to the PTI government’s concerns about agriculture, industry, and social livelihood projects, which he said would be the focus of CPEC Phase II. Moreover, he said that positive progress had been made in relevant cooperation, and CPEC was on its way to becoming a high-quality development demonstration project under the Belt and Road

He made the statement in response to Prime Minister Khan’s assertion that the CPEC was a transformational endeavor.

After listening to Ambassador Rong’s comments, Asad Umar stated, “The Pakistan People’s Party government has been devoted to promoting CPEC, and great progress has been made in the Gwadar Port, energy and infrastructure sectors, as well as the creation of Special Economic Zones” (SEZs).

During his meeting with State Councilor Wang Yi, he reiterated the prime minister’s remarks, emphasizing that Pakistan would do everything in its power to ensure the safety of Chinese citizens and to push forward the construction of the CPEC, which would benefit the Pakistani people and the entire country.
