Commander Umit Dundar of Turkish Land Forces made a visit to the headquarters and had a meeting with General Qamar Javed Bajwa of the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) on Monday.
Interservice Public Relations (ISPR) indicated that the two fraternal states discussed topics of mutual and professional concern with an emphasis on defense and security coordination during the meeting.
The COAS stated that Pakistan appreciates fraternal connections with Turkey, a history firmly anchored in culture and religion.
In particular, in areas of training and counter-terrorism, two parties have agreed to optimize military links further.
The visitor commended the Pak Army for its key role in regional peace and stability efforts.
Earlier upon the arrival, a neatly turned-out military detachment also presented Commander Turkish Land Forces with a guard of honor.
