COAS stressed on high level operational preparedness along all borders

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa ordered the military leadership to maintain the best operational readiness at work borders, control lines and the Pak-Afghan border. According to ISPR, COAS spoke to 78th commanders conference in GHQ Rawalpindi. COAS also awarded Mangla and Multan Corps for their best overall performance in sport and training.

COAS commended the units high level training in various exercises. Also the excellent performance of officers and troops at international training events and competitions. General Bajwa expressed satisfaction with the progress of stabilization operations in Pakistan following the success of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. Moreover, COAS attaches great importance to maintaining high standards of operational readiness along the control and work borders. Also at international borders between Pakistan and Afghanistan after the geostrategic environment changes.

In light of situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the forum expressed its full solidarity with the Kashmiri people. The forum pays tribute to strong nations, especially tribal peoples, for their greatest sacrifices in the war on terror. The forum has also briefed on Pakistan’s significant support for Afghan peace process and strong steps to enhance border security.

General Bajwa commended the formation for their overall support for the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic, locusts and polio eradication. Progress in the transition and progress of the newly unified Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region and socio-economic developments in Balochistan as dividends of hard-earned peace and stability has also examined.
