According to inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has made an official visit to Belgium.
During his tour, COAS Bajwa met with Stefano Sannino, Secretary-General of the European External Action Services (EEAS), and General Claudio Graziano, Chairman of the European Union’s Military Committee, among other officials.
During the meeting, topics of common interest were covered, as well as the broader regional security situation, which included the current situation in Afghanistan, and bilateral relations with the European Union.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief stated that Pakistan appreciates its relations with EU countries and looks forward to strengthening mutual collaboration on the basis of common interests.
EU dignitaries expressed their appreciation for Pakistan’s sincere efforts to promote peace and stability in the area and committed to play a role in increasing engagement with Pakistan at all levels in the future.
