Chaudhry Moonis Elahi, the PML-Q leader, oathed as federal Minister on Monday. Days after that the PML-Q leaders will be awarded a federal cabinet post, President Arif Alvi administered the oath to Elahi at the President’s House in Islamabad.
Elahi was appointed as the future minister for water resources, according to sources.
In the context of a promise made by the Government-led by PTI to its allies, which include the PML-Q, Sources had informed Geo News that they will be handed the responsibility of a Federal Ministry.
Minister Faisal Vawda of PTI formerly held the responsibility for the Ministry of Water Resources.
He renounced his election in the Senate in the National Assembly in March.
