Changan halted bookings for its Alsvin over high demand

Bookings of all Changan Alsvin models have halted because of the overwhelming demand. It is a popular choice among Pakistani automobile purchasers due to its attractive price-to-performance ratio.

According to authorised dealerships, the monthly sales quota for Alsvin has met in April. Therefore, fresh bookings of Changan Alsvin will begin in May 2022. The delivery period has increased from 45 days to 75 days.

Alsvin is a new compact car from MCML. It will go head-to-head with the Honda City and Toyota Yaris when it goes on sale in January 2022. Standard 1.3 Manual, Standard 1.5 DCT and Lumiere 1.5 DCT are the three versions available.

Alsvin has two powerplant options i.e gasoline and diesel. It has 95 horsepower and 135 Newton-meters of torque, a naturally aspirated 1.37-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine. It distributes power to the front wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox.

For a while now, Changan is raising the price of Alsvin. Despite the price increase, Alsvin remains a more affordable option with comparable capabilities than its competitors. It is making a better buy.

Moreover, market sources imply that Alsvin is giving its competitors a run for their money. Although, the firm does not divulge its official sales data.
