China said the Port of Gwadar would be a regional commercial center to promote regional growth and prosperity and play an increased role in that area.
Chinese Foreign Minister Lijian Zhao, spokesman of Gwadar, claimed during his media conference in Beijing that the port area’s operating capabilities were fully restored, with cooperative efforts by both parties.
He added that enterprises and investments enter the free zone and that international transit trading continues to grow.
Zhao Lijian stated all this plays an important role in fostering local economic growth, improving living conditions, and fostering regional connection.
China and Pakistan welcomed any third party supporting the Belt and Road Initiative and CPEC, based on mutual respect, win-Win partnership, and consensus, for their involvement in Gwadar Port and other corridor projects.
