Amir Khan Swansi, a local leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was arrested on Monday after slapping a police officer at a jalsa in Mianwali.
This occurred on Saturday during a PTI rally in Mianwali, where Prime Minister Imran Khan was also in attendance, according to the police. The event is being investigated.
Amir Khan slapped a police officer at the entry, according to District Police Officer (DPO) Mianwali, when the officer attempted to search him. As a result, a criminal complaint was filed against the group’s leader.
“After an inquiry into the incident was conducted, a case was filed against Amir Khan,” the DPO stated.
Amir Khan expressed his displeasure with the case that had been filed against him, saying that it was “a politically motivated effort.”
