Canadian Premier Justin Trudeau Tuesday stated the Taliban Government in Afghanistan will not be recognized by Canada, as it still regards the organization as a “terrorist outfit.”
“Canada does not plan to recognise the Taliban as Afghanistan’s government,” Trudeau stated.
“They have taken over a democratic administration that is properly elected by force and replaced it. And… they are recognised by the Canadian legislation as a terrorist organization.”
On Munday, the US declared that a Taliban administration would only be recognised in Kabul provided women’s rights and terrorism were respected.
Boris Johnson called on the leaders of the G7 to have a meeting on Afghanistan, whereas Josep Borrell, Chef of European Union Foreign Policy, on Tuesday, told the Taliban that the group would have to talk.
