Camilla Parker wil receive priceless Koh-i-Noor crown at Charles coronation

It has reported that Camilla Parker will get the Queen Mother’s priceless 1937 Koh-i-Noor crown upon Charles’ coronation. The crown consists of 2,800 diamonds has made for King George VI’s 1937 coronation. It was a gift from the Sultan of Turkey to Queen Victoria in appreciation for British help during the Crimean War.

On top of that notably the crown has a 105-carat Indian-origin Koh-i-Noor diamond in a platinum setting.

Accodring to sources, in her capacity as Queen Consort, Camilla will receive the crown when Charles takes the throne. With the historic announcement made by Her Majesty, Charles released his own statement thanking his mother for her support. He said, “We have keenly cognizant of the honour reflected by my mother’s request.”

When Charles made his coronation vows, it has widely believed that the Queen gave him permission to refer to his wife as “Queen Camilla”. A Royal insider said that Queen believed that Camilla deserved to get the right title that comes with the role.

Furthermore, the normal three-hour-long coronation ceremony will cut down to two hours. It will be in order to better reflect the times and more representative of religious, cultural and ethnic diversity than before.
