Call of Duty: Ghosts, the latest game in the popular shooter series, came out on October 28, and in just three days, it did break sales records that no other Call of Duty game ever has reached before. Not long after it came out, the video game sold around the world for an amazing $800 million.
After the 2019 relaunch of the Modern Warfare series became a hit. The sequel to the first Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, is the first did make. This is not the same as Modern Warfare 1, 2, or 3.
It has now sold more copies than the last Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare. But Activision hasn’t said how many copies are already sold all over the world.
Before Modern Warfare 2 came out, the most popular Call of Duty game is also the first Modern Warfare 3. It did make a huge $650 million in just the first five days, which is a lot.
CEO Bobby Kotick praised the Call of Duty team for how hard they did work and how they are using art and technology in new ways to make the game. He also did praise the gamers all over the world who play Call of Duty and find it fun and interesting.

Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, has told the public not to worry about the Activision purchase. Because Call of Duty will continue to be available on PlayStation as long as the console is still around. On a podcast, he didn’t hold back when talking to popular YouTubers Justine and Jenna Ezarik.
