Yash Raj Films Reportedly Decides to Not Sign Any More Films with Ranveer Singh Yash Raj Films (YRF) has reportedly decided to not sign any new films with actor Ranveer Singh, following a string of box office flops. According to sources, YRF invested heavily in their upcoming blockbuster film, Pathaan, and cannot afford any errors at this point.

Singh has acted in a total of six films with YRF, out of which only one was not a flop – Gunday (2014), which was a semi-hit. Band Baaja Baaraat, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl (2011), Befikre (2016), Kill Dil (2014), and Jayeshbhai Jordaar all flopped at the box office. Sources added that while these films made money through the sale of OTT and satellite rights, the box office returns were in the red for YRF.

While there has been no official confirmation from either YRF or Singh regarding this decision, sources have stated that YRF cannot afford to take any risks with their upcoming projects. Each film needs to be heavily budgeted and hence, there can’t be room for error. Each film needs utmost concentration, right from pre-production to the last mile release.

Singh is currently gearing up for the release of his next romantic-drama film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Alia Bhatt, which is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
