As for the fan base, there’s nothing quite like BTS Army. The 2021 Grammys, which support and protect Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook, lost confidence in the military before the official ceremony began.
The fan base got the #scammy trend on microblogging sites after the band lost the Best Pop Duet / Best Pop Performance awards from Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, who were nominated for their song Rain on Me.
This year was BTS’s second Grammy nomination but won the first for their music (the band was nominated in 2019 for Best Recording Package, an award for visual performance of an album.) Winning tonight will be the first-ever global phenomenon of history.

Last year RM told Esquire that BTS “would love to be nominated, and possibly receive an award … I think the Grammys are the last part, as the last part of the entire American journey.” BTS, the first Korean artist to perform at the 2020 Grammys, is making another appearance tonight – and fans feel the Grammys are using it for ratings without rewarding the band. “Bts don’t need Grammys, but Grammys need BTS #scammy,” tweeted one supporter.
