A tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey featuring Britney Spears is rumoured to take place before the publication of Britney Spears’ explosive autobiography.
On October 24, the singer for Toxic is going to release her debut studio album, titled The Woman in Me. Spears is expected to give her first interview since returning to the public eye in 2021, according to insiders who spoke to The US Sun.
Streaming services and television networks are also interested in conducting the interview. They stated that even Winfrey herself attempted to contact the pop star with a stunning offer to have her participate in an interview.
According to reports, the talk show presenter also attempted to make contact with Britney Spears after November 2021, when the conservatorship over the singer was lifted. However, the talk show host was rebuffed by the singer, who was “still coming to terms with independent life and mentally processing her freedom,” according to a source.
In the meantime, a different insider revealed Britney’s concerns with appearing in front of the television, which dashed any expectations for a possible interview. “The [interview] proposal remains complicated for Britney, who continues to face challenges speaking to strangers at length about intimate aspects of her life,” the insider said to the site.
They explained that the traumatic experience did not disappear overnight simply because the conservatorship was terminated. “Some days can be extremely trying, and conversations can cause her to behave in an unusual manner, or even erratically,” the author writes. “[T]hese days can be extremely challenging.”
The insider stated that a “proper news-style interview is out of the question,” and then went on to say that “The decision is up to Britney,” meaning that it is up to Britney Spears to decide whether or not she feels ready to talk on camera and discuss the topics in the book.
