Lynne Spears, Britney Spears’ mother, has spoken out about her daughter’s conservatorship and her “mixed feelings” about it.
Lynne revealed the Toxic singer had once phoned 911 to report that she was a victim of abuse through her conservatorship during a conversation with writers Ronan Farrow and Jia Tolentino for The New Yorker. This was confirmed by law enforcement in Ventura County as well as a personal friend.
“I have conflicting feelings about everything. I’m not sure what to think… “It’s a lot of grief, a lot of worries,” the pop star’s mother remarked.
Lynne “talked in hushed tones” and declined to answer questions regarding the case, according to the media.
Lynne also apologized to the reporters, stating that if a family member entered the room, she could have to stop the conversation.
“I’m OK. “I’m skilled at deflecting,” Lynne explained.
