Bill Cosby backs on-screen wife Phylicia Rashad

Comedian Bill Cosby, who drew criticism after celebrating a revocation of a rape conviction, has thrown his weight behind his wife Phylicia Rashad on the screen.

Bill Cosby said Howard University – in which Rashad has just been called the Dean for the Fine Arts College – in a statement made by her spokesperson Andrew Wyatt to uphold her ‘freedom of speech in calling for her removal.

“You must defend Howard University those freedoms of speech, taught at that renowned school of law on your campus every day or pretend to be taught,” Cosby stated, via the Hollywood Reporter (the Hollywood University).

On Wednesday Bill Cosby was released from prison and went home less than two hours after his conviction of sexual assault had been reversed by the highest court in Pennsylvania, claiming that he would never have had to face charges after hitting the district attorney’s case 15 years ago.

Following Bill Cosby’s conviction in 2018, Cosby was sentenced to three to 10 years, splitting indignation against victims of sexual assault and their advocates, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania made a separate ruling.

The 83-year-old actor and comedian were freed from Pennsylvania State Prison shortly before 14:30 pm (1830 GMT).
