Senator Barrister Ali Zafar said Wednesday that any findings he makes in the Jehangir Tareen case have no legal effect and are a purely internal matter for the ruling party.
“Let me explain that I have not submitted a report. Any findings that are not [necessarily] written must be purely internal to PTI and have no legal value or status. Investigate Sugar Barons or Mr. Tareen’s former attorney.
The general had posted on Twitter amid growing speculation about an investigation into the alleged affair that the Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) had given deprived PTI leaders, he said “There is no room for concessions against corruption under government policies set by Prime Minister Imran. Khan Zafar said he was responsible for dealing with Tarin’s complaint, adding that he would make his recommendations “directly and only to the Prime Minister “as soon as the investigation was completed.
