Apple’s OLED iPad Plans May Have Failed

When Apple updated its 12.9-inch iPad Pro earlier this year, the company added a brand new tiny LED display as part of the upgrade. Given that Apple utilizes OLED displays for its iPhones, it’s an interesting choice. But it’s possible that an OLED panel so large would have been too expensive. It has previously reported that Apple was working on such a tablet. But it appears that those Apple’s OLED iPad plans have postponed for the time being.

According to the Korean website The Elec, it has stated that Apple was collaborating with Samsung on the development of a 10.68-inch OLED tablet computer. The fact that Samsung is currently one of the world’s most dominating providers of OLED panels. It comes as no surprise given the fact that Apple has resorted to them for assistance in the first place.

Both corporations have also collaborated in the past and continue to do so to a certain level. So this isn’t completely out of the realm of possibility. However, according to the source, both corporations have decided to discontinue their collaborative endeavour due to a variety of concerns. The reasons for the cancellation remain unclear, but it has speculated that it could have been due to technical difficulties, financial concerns, or a combination of the two.

Because nothing has been proven as of yet. It is difficult to determine how accurate this information is to begin with. Also, even if the report is correct, we doubt that Apple has completely abandoned its intentions. Perhaps they will try to find an alternative supplier in the future, or perhaps they will reopen their discussions with Samsung again in the future.
