The imam of a mosque in Faisalabad was detained on social media following a video caught him trying to violate two little children.
The girls’ age is 5 and 7 years. The police claimed that the attack occurred near Chak 59GB of District Faisalabad, they got information.
The local people in the video recognised the man. An FIR has been lodged in accordance with Articles 376 (for rape, Sections 511 and 295 of the Penal Code of Pakistan.
The police claim that the case had been recorded for the State since the parents were not willing to pursue legal action against the imam.
A statement published by the office of the CPO Faisalabad states that ‘the police are going to make a case worthwhile.’
