American Music Awards honour Taylor Swift’s ‘Red’

Taylor Swift’s re-recording of “Red” won Sunday’s American Music Awards for best pop album. After a conflict with her former label, Swift has re-recorded old albums. “All Too Well” is on “Red.”


Swift remarked, “I can’t tell you how much my re-recorded albums mean to me, but I never intended them to mean anything to you.” “Thanks for caring about the album.”


The 32-year-old singer didn’t address Ticketmaster’s glitchy sales for her upcoming tour last week.


Swift is also nominated for artist of the year. Beyonce, Harry Styles, The Weeknd, Drake, and Adele are her competitors.


Bad Bunny led with eight nominations, including artist of the year. Pink opened the show by skating and performing “Never Gonna Not Dance Again.”


Wayne Brady’s monologue included a rap. Brady remarked, citing Will Smith’s Oscars attack on Chris Rock, “Ain’t nobody being slapped today.”


Former Disney Channel actress Dove Cameron won best new artist for her song “Boyfriend.” Guns Kelly, in a purple costume with silver spikes, was my favourite rocker.
