Amber Heard sued her insurance company because she claims they owe Johnny Depp $10.3 million.
When New York Marine and General Insurance Co. sued him to avoid paying for her loss, the Aquaman actor sued them back.
The insurance company told the court that the jury in Heard’s defamation trial found her guilty of misbehavior, so they are not compelled to fulfill their policy under California law.
Heard says that she negotiated an “unconditional agreement” with the insurance company, which means that they should cover her no matter what.
Depp has said he won’t pay Heard the $2 million the court ordered him to pay for slander.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star appealed the jury’s decision to side with Heard.
