Amazon Users Cancelling Prime Subscription After Bezos’s Trip to Space

Struggling with personal finances and not getting “rich” is one thing, but when the richest person in the world privately pushes it and says, “Thanks for paying for my space travel,” the debate between “rich” versus “poor” goes to another level.

Shortly after Jeff Bezos, the world’s richest man, enjoyed his space journey and thanked Amazon employees and customers for it, Amazon’s US customers unsubscribed from their Prime Subscription.

The reason is simple. There is no bitter feeling that Bezos is enjoying his space travels. But the fact that Bezos decided to thank Twitter staff and customers who funded his trip has angered Amazon users.

“I want to thank every Amazon employee and every Amazon customer for paying for all of this… I thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Bezo said after the trip.

Interestingly, this “thank you” message doesn’t work well with Amazon customers in the US. According to a report by Business Insider, people weren’t happy that Bezos was bragging about how he made his space travel possible with customer money and the hard work of Amazon employees.

People Reaction on Prime Subscription

Bezos’ report angered people in the US after media reports emphasized that Amazon’s delivery partners were forced to pee in water bottles because they couldn’t afford to take the time to find public restrooms and close them due to their “insane” use of work pressure.

People are also angry with the way Amazon treats its warehouse workers – the people who literally do all the tedious work that helps Amazon get products on time.

“Guys, I just canceled my Amazon Prime subscription and I’m happy with it. I paid more for shopping on the website and/or the millionaire rocket. I just told the world,” one customer told the group’s Facebook.

Another client quoted in the Business Insider report said, “First, he is aware of the negative impact this company has on the publishing industry. Then he discovered the trouble-free attitude of the warehouse workers. Then the growing awareness of my own consumption made me very nervous.”

“The whole thing is the spectacle of a man who has amassed so much wealth that he’s lost touch with reality for the average person,” said another Amazon customer.
