Amazon Restore Mask Requirement for All US Warehouse Employees

All Amazon warehouse employees in the US will have to wear masks again indoors on Monday, regardless of whether or not they were vaccinated, the company confirmed to CNN Business on Friday. Amazon restore the mask requirement policy for all the US warehouse workers.

The step comes one day after Amazon (AMZN) notify that it would slow down the return date for its collective headquarters to early next year. Successive reports show one of America’s biggest companies is rethinking its coronavirus policies in the face of rising Delta-related infections.

“In response to the alarming spread of the new Covid-19 variant in the United States and guidance from our own health officials and medical experts, we are calling for indoor coverage regardless of vaccination status,” said Kelly Nantel, spokeswoman for Amazon. in a statement to CNN Business.

“We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to follow instructions from local authorities and work closely with leading healthcare professionals to seek their advice and recommendations to ensure our buildings are optimized for the safety of our team.” Nantel.

Most companies have changed their rules and regulations for joint and frontline workers as the pandemic has increases and vaccinations are required in some situations.

But for now, Amazon doesn’t appear to be taking this step: Nantel doesn’t want to comment on whether the company is considering a vaccine mandate.

Amazon (AMZN) announced on 24. Amazon recently announced that it will no longer offer on-site testing for Covid-19 until the end of July, citing widespread availability of tests and vaccines.

Amazon’s business thrived during the pandemic as households and businesses rely on its various services. However, the company came under fire early in the pandemic after some workers said the company was not providing enough protective equipment or adequately repairing its warehouses, sparking protests and lawsuits.
