With New Zealand Cricket, Amazon Prime Video has signed and exchange multi-year contract. On Monday, December 20, Amazon Prime Video said it will exclusively stream cricket matches. As of January 2022, the OTT platform will webcast matches from New Zealand Cricket. Amazon will be the first Indian streaming service to have exclusive match-streaming rights as of November 2020. A cricket trip of New Zealand will have organized by India next year for both men and women’s teams.
Amazon confirmed through press release that starting January 1, 2022, it will stream live cricket matches on Prime Video. Moreover in the search bar, type in “New Zealand Cricket” to get a carousel of exchange matches. This includes smart TVs, set-top-boxes, Fire TV sticks, and other compatible devices.
A multi-year arrangement with New Zealand Cricket to stream international men’s and women’s cricket matches has signed in November 2020.
The first match to be televised is the New Zealand-Bangladesh test series. The match starts January 1, 2022. Also every day at 3:30am IST, Indian viewers can watch the game. Prime Video will also feature a variety of cricketing shows, including past and current match highlights.
Viewers can also see South Africa’s February 2022 trip of New Zealand, Australia’s March 2022 tour, and the Netherlands’ March/April 2022 tour. Amazon Prime Video will also stream India’s women’s and men’s cricket tours of New Zealand in February and November 2022, respectively.
